What To Know About Sugaring When Pregnant

We get asked a lot by pregnant or soon to be pregnant women whether or not sugaring is safe: the long and short of it, Girl, We got you! There is absolutely zero evidence that sugaring is unsafe for expecting women. We’ve sugared plenty of pregnant women just like you throughout the entire duration of their pregnancy.

Our sugar is 100% natural, consisting of just lemon, sugar, and water, plus essential oils for your skins benefit. That’s it!

As you get bigger it becomes harder for you to even reach your lily, which makes sugaring an even more appealing option, as it’ll be harder to do yourself as time goes on. In fact, sugaring is safe right up to your due date. We would love to make sure you are hair-free for the delivery if that’s what will make you the most comfortable. If not, you do you!

Though it is completely safe, there are a few things to keep in mind about sugaring during pregnancy.

First off,  your hormone levels are changing during the pregnancy. This can lead to increased sensitivity for some women.  By taking a Tylenol beforehand you can decrease this sensitivity, but make sure you check with your doctor first!

Secondly, pregnancy can lead to increased hair growth on various parts of the body including the face, stomach, nipples, and feet. It can also grow thicker, faster and darker then it previously had. We recommend not shaving these areas as this can worsen the problem. Instead, let us sugar you! Sugaring is a good alternative as it causes hair to come back lighter and less dense each time.

In conclusion, it is perfectly safe to continue sugaring, or even to start sugaring, while pregnant. We absolutely love taking care of our mom-to-be’s. Let us take care of you, because seriously, you have enough on your plate already!
